Internal Plantation Shutters

Boardwalk offers the complete range of internal plantation shutters Perth wide. From Sentosa shutters for bathrooms and wet areas, through to our to sophisticated cedar shutters for those looking for a more traditional look.

We present all our shutters evenly, and it will be your window sizes, design ideas and how you intend to use the shutters on a daily basis that will help determine the right product for you.

For example, some of the materials are capable of wider spans than others. There are some materials better suited to wet areas, whilst other products in our range can be custom painted to suit existing decor. Selecting the right shutters is best decided in your home with one of experienced sales staff and we offer an obligation free measure and quote service.

The materials we offer have been in our range and the Australian market for many years and are well trusted and proven performers. We have completed thousands of installations in homes, business, hotels and resorts around Western Australia and beyond, and we are very proud of our track record and reputation. All our internal shutters are custom manufactured and imported from well established suppliers using reputable material sources.

For added peace of mind, before you buy we encourage you to visit our Balcatta showroom to see our full range on display.

Amalfi Shutters

SETTING A NEW STANDARD

Made using certified plantation grown paulownia, these shutters deliver the best qualities of both our Kimberley and Sentosa Shutters. Paulownia is a lightweight timber, allowing excellent panel spans, has superior joinery stability and less overall flex than Sentosa PVC Shutters.

In its’ raw form Paulownia is water resistant and once painted moisture does not easily transfer through the material unlike other timber shutters. Overall, our Amalfi Shutters are suitable for almost any application in your home including window openings and, as they are far more tolerant to water and moisture will be far less susceptible to damage should the windows be accidentally left open.

Paulownia is sustainable and is recognised as the fastest growing tree in the world. It also generates up to four times more oxygen during periods of growth than any other tree so environmentally it also gets a big tick.

Sentosa Shutters

Our Sentosa PVC shutters are extruded using a synthetic non toxic material and can be used in wet areas or throughout the home.

To reduce the weight of the product and to provide added stability in the absence of a grain, aluminium louvre inserts are used in all panels. Vertical stability is also provided with aluminium reinforcing in each side of the panel.

Even with the addition of aluminium for reinforcing, all PVC shutters will still exhibit some flex and may need a small ‘lift’ to assist them to close in the frame. The plus side is that this material holds up perfectly should a window be left open, with PVC also being the product most durable to knocks in the event of in home mishaps.
